Hey I'm Kaylea

I am a wedding and family photographer based out of Kamloops, BC. I was born and raised on the sun kissed shores of the Shuswap and though, I did venture down to the big city for a few years, my roots were calling me back! My love of photography started in my high school photography class processing images in a dark room and making a camera out of a cardboard box. It really works and I would love to tell you about it sometime. It's safe to say I have definitely updated my gear since those days. My husband jump started my dream to a reality with the purchase of my first full frame camera. I just couldn't put it down!

When I am not behind the camera you will find me chasing around my two little boys. (Being a boy mama is the best thing that has ever happened to me). Does anyone know the recipe for a potion that keeps them little just a bit longer? I can also be found reading for my book club, online shopping for all the clothes possible, gardening, boating on the lake, and working my nursing job. Yes I have been a pediatric RN for the last 17 years :) A bulk of that time was spent at BC Children's. Caring for those littles has allowed me to hone in on that critical attention to detail that I think translates over to my personality and photography style. Photography is not only what you are seeing but also how you see those big and small moments. When people look at my pictures, I want them to feel the way they do when they want to read a line again out of a good book.
